“Small Businesses Can Have A Huge Impact”

There is an article (link below) on the USA Today website that shows an interesting perspective of the importance of small businesses in our country. One of the highlights explains that, while America has huge money-makers like Apple and Facebook bringing in all kinds of revenue and even a ton of profit, they may not actually contribute as much as you’d think to fixing our biggest problems. For example, Abrams states that while Apple is “the most valuable company in the country”, it has only 43,000 American employees compared to the roughly 27 million (though this number is a little confusing) Americans working at companies with less than 20 employees. This isn’t meant to demonize big companies. But at the same time, it raises lots of interesting questions about who contributes what to our economy and how we should think in terms of getting things back on track. I would encourage you read this article and consider it on your own mindset when talking with friends and neighbors our own local economy. About our Job Listing

While Support Grove City will be instrumental in listing, organizing and, to some degree, advertising local businesses, it will also list job openings at places in hiring right here in Grove City. Even more good news for the hundreds, possibly thousands, of residents that are looking for work. This way, we can connect some of the struggling small businesses looking for employees with those in the area that needs it, both working toward the goal of supporting themselves and their city. Similar to submitting a business listing, anyone can go to our website and submit the application. Hover over the “Job Postings” tab on the homepage and either select the jobs list or slide down and click “Submit A Job” to fill out a form and send us an available job at your place of employment. *(There is also a downloadable PDF that can be sent by Fax or Mail to an address provided on that page). We will review the submission and put it online within a few business days. If we have any questions, we’ll contact you with the information provided.
